Our beloved Ronaldo Tours has come to its season finale.

And by season finale, I mean the closing of one door and opening of another. No, really. Ronaldo is shutting the door of his Greenwich home, and opening the doors to a New York City apartment. Hello, little Italy! You have no idea what is coming at you.

As always, once a season of one of our favorite shows ends, we must look back at its most memorable moments. Remember when Ronaldo ate gelato, ate pizza, made pizza, and then ate some more?

Although many of Ronaldo’s adventures revolved around him indulging in delicious dishes (those Italians sure can eat), he also ventured out of his comfort zone by attending Comic-Con, and enduring the city of Toronto.

And if you’re not watching for the tours, you sure are watching for Ronaldo. That Italian accent gets the ladies every time. Every. Time.

Arrivederci, Ronaldo!
We look forward to seeing you in New York City in Season 2!

If you don’t you may crawl back under your rock, but not before watching THIS, THIS, and THIS (my personal favorite) and then checking out and episode of Parks and Recreation.

Now that we are all on the same page, let’s talk about his comedy special that was released online for a mere $5.

Louis CK did it back in December with his “Live at the Beacon Theater” stand up special, and now Ansari is doing the same. Basically, it is a way for him to sell his material straight to his fans, in a from me to you, kind of way. No middleman, or big guy involved.

Ansari said, “It seemed like the smartest way to deliver it” and us folks here at NPeaches agree. It embraces exactly what we are doing by promoting openness, and content that is delivered from creator straight to the audience, without restrictions or interruptions. OR bullS**t licensing fees that create extra costs to what’s being sold.

Four for you Aziz Ansari! You go, Aziz Ansari! We tip our fancy velvet hats to you.

*** You can buy Aziz Ansari’s “Dangerously Delicious” hour stand-up special HERE

Behold, NPeaches now has not one, not two, but THREE web-shows!

We present to you: The Corrugated Universe

In this web series, NPeaches producer, Sarah Fabian, seeks to discover artists who confront social and political issues through the lens of comedy. Our upcoming artists hail from a wide range of mediums; from remixing and animation to performance art.

In our first episode- series premiere, if you will- we meet Ron Williams. Ron is a stand-up comedian, as well as the fight choreographer for the adventure comedy Charlie Christ: The Gospel According to Fools.

We get an inside look at how to integrate the art of Wing Tsun with traditional fencing. Plus, Ron reveals how the martial arts medium works while looking good and eating a cookie.

COOKIE. Who doesn’t like cookies?

And if for some reason you have not clicked the FIRST link above, I will present it once more HERE. Now go watch!

We would like to give a round of applause, and send some electronic hugs and kisses in the form of letters such as X’s and O’s, to two of our NPeaches comics – Gregory Quinn and Scott O’Leary – to congratulate them on the completion of the first season of their show, Don’t Mind the Maggots!

If you’ve missed any of their adventures, now is the time to sit back, kick your legs up, and watch (or re-watch) the first season of Don’t Mind the Maggots HERE or HERE.

So when this opportunity comes around, you’d better take it! And by ‘this opportunity’ we mean the annual Kaltura DevConnect.

It is a chance for hundreds of talented people working in the web video industry to come together to connect and learn from each other. It gives you a chance to explore new technologies, participate in hands-on training sessions, and have fun socializing.

Not to mention, NPeaches will be there! And we are excited to meet and learn from each one of you!

Kaltura DevConnect will take place on April 2nd 2012, in New York City.

Register now at Kaltura DevConnect!

Believe it or not, Final Cut Pro is not the only option out there! Aside from the other heavy hitters in the commercial world of non-linear editors there is an array of free and open source editors. Among them is Kdenlive. Kdenlive is arguably the best combination of robustness and ease of use in the FOSS realm.

To tell a family secret, we at NPeaches make use of Kdenlive for its rendering features. It’s our preferred method for exporting to Ogg and WebM because of the bitrate and other options it offers.

It’s not the only editor we use but it’s still integral to our post workflow.

Right now Kdenlive is looking for a helping hand on the road to stability and feature set with their IndieGoGo fundraising campaign.

This is a really rocking piece of software that is completely free, so donations go a long way.
